Historically, communities of color, low-income households, immigrants, and young children have been undercounted in the census. Although undercounting happens for a variety of reasons, undercounts deprive communities of critical resources to subsidize and fund housing. This workshop will discuss the critical importance of census engagement, and the collateral consequences of the undercount in the public and private housing sector.
